My Trip To Metz

Hello! here is just a short little picture post. i actually did not see too much of the town of Metz itself- we drove to a forest approx. 30km away and visited an old abandoned labour camp from WWII- trying to find a monument for all the people killed there. but all we found were ruins and a lot of snow! the snow was really deep and nobody else was in the forest- the silence was like in a horror movie. there was even a warning sign that it's military property... i'm not too sure if you are even allowed to go there. 

the little i saw of Metz made me want to go there again! hopefully i will soon (i think my mom wants to go there again too)- there were cute bakeries everywhere and the Christmas Market was also really cute. we drove home at 8pm and arrived shortly after midnight- all very tired and exhausted.

it got dark so early! and the weather was rainy too. we were not very lucky with the time to go there i guess - i bet it's like paradise over there in summer though :)

Monday Hair

Hello Hello happy Monday! today i went to the hairdressers and that's how it turned out. i'm quite happy with the length but i think i really need to dye it brighter. oh and awesome news! tomorrow i am going with my parents to France. to Metz to be precise. i can't wait although we will have to leave the house at 6 am (it's a 4 hour drive there). i read that Metz has the 2nd biggest french Christmas Market. hopefully it will be as good as the one in my hometown.

Ready For Take Off

Hello everyone! i'm sorry that this post is really short but i still have to pack my suitcase which i been procrastinating all day but i have a good excuse! my cat was lying in it all day.  also have to clean my apartment a little so when i get home it's nice and clean and i can fall in my bed (i arrive at 10.30pm plus one hour drive from the airport. ewww!) 

here is my cat occupying my suitcase and looking gorgeous! (would you believe she is 15 years old?)- her name is Lesja by the way.

at least i got my hand luggage sorted out... almost... i'm taking my YSL glasses with me, and a little moleskine book, wallet, some lipgloss, a nailpolish pen in red (how awesome is a nail polish pen?! i love it!), the little unprofessional camera, iphone, headphones, nail file, lipgloss with pithaya flavour, a hairbow, some face powder and my awesome Hello Kitty pocket mirror and candy watch (i don't have a watch and don't want to pull out my phone all the time). so yeah that and much more  is going to be in my "hand" bag tomorrow (bag by Roxy- i have the same suitcase).

gonna wear my bow tie with a white shirt, black v-kneck jumper, black skirt, tights and my Pepe Jeans leather bow gloves (sorry for awful pic)

i also got another thing to bring with me. some porcini mushrooms which were picked by my parents in the forest (they are mushroom experts fyi). i labeled the glass and put a ribbon on it...also drew an ugly mushroom haha... i actually love giving self made presents it feels so much more personal. don't you agree?

Scotland 2010

Here is a photo i took last year in Edinburgh- it's the view from the castle 

In less than a week i will be off to Scotland to see my lovely BF in Glasgow and we will also spend two nights in Edinburgh. last year when we went there we didn't get the chance to see anything besides the overpriced castle because we had to get back in time for the stupid car park, so i'm really glad that this time we will have enough time to see the nice city (any recommendations what we should definitely go and see?). also i can't wait to go and shop at all the high street shops, drugstores and even grocery stores! love everything they sell there.
also i'm eyeing quite a few faux fur coats and shoes and dresses. every time i go to the UK i feel like i'm living in a third world country (no offense here) because we don't have nearly as nice products over here (at least when it comes to clothes, food and toiletries) but i'm always surprised at UK bathrooms because ... well the standards over there seem a little lower in my eyes (again- no offense here lol)

A Day At The Museum

Yesterday i decided to visit my mother at work (she works at the nicest museum in town) and i took my good old EOS 400D with me (i know. it's so old! but at least it's taking some "good" photos)

this is my favorite painting (i'm a terrible photographer though) the photo doesn't do it any justice :-( it's by Caspar David Friedrich and i love it's melancholy- i could look all day at it

the museum is full with beautiful old clothing, jewelry, beautiful china and old furniture. if you ever come to Dortmund in Germany you should check it out. it's called museum for art and cultural history (or in german: Museum für Kunst und Kulturgeschichte)

i actually took a billion more pictures but i thought nobody even wants to look at these ones haha
